Maharet is a comical cat.  She’s shy to start with but she loves to be petted.  Often, she is a complete contradiction when it comes to getting attention.  You start petting her. She’ll roll over on her back then she pushes your hand away with her back paws then pulls it back with her front paws.  She’ll let you pet her for a little bit and then she’ll do it again. 

Maharet was dumped at a managed feral colony where she appeared friendly but scared.  She would come out for attention but shy away if you tried to pick her up.  Trappers were asked to come out to get her fixed and evaluate her in a safe environment.  She was dumped with 2 younger cats – Sigfried and Jenny Any Dots. Upon evaluation, she was accepted into the Purr Paws program with Sigfried and Jenny Any Dots.

Maharet lives and gets along with other cats and dogs, although she does avoid the dogs when they are being hyper. All fosters are spayed/neutered, current on shots, microchipped, dewormed and defleaed, and tested for FIV/Feline Leukemia.
